Avalon Park This Round!

Fished Lake Lavon today. Put in  at Avalon Park – the boat ramp was open and no day use fee required. Was able to get a round of kayak fishing in and was able to test the new fish finder – Lowrance Hook 3x DSI.

Mounted the fish finder on a dry box that also held the battery pack. Then, modified the transducer so it could be attached to the kayak with a suction cup. For securing to the kayak, used parachute cord.

Fishing was slow but the fish finder helped locate underwater bushes where the fish were lurking. And then, later when the White Bass started feeding on the surface, had some fast action for about 45″.

Most were undersized but did get four White Bass that were Keepers. Fun stuff!
