Add a Skeg to a Kayak, No Holes, No Glue... #velcro #pelicancatch100

Been wanting to add a skeg to the Pelican Catch 100 to make it track true when paddling. But, did not want to drill holes or apply marine glue to mount one.

Learned about Velcro Alpha Lock that comes in 1×3 inch strips. Gave it a try… mounted the skeg, and then made a tweak by adding a lanyard to “catch” the skeg in case I bump bottom and knock it of its base. Replaces the pin screws that came with the skeg.

Plan to take it out this weekend, more to come on if this workaround works!
